In our role play room, we provide resources from various cultures and backgrounds to encourage children to re-enact different experiences from their own lives, as well as experiences, family customs and routines that differ from their own. We ensure the provision of different costumes, like different job roles to support their understanding of people who help them and what their jobs involve, and a role-play kitchen is present to build their understanding of a healthy diet and different types of food native to different cultures. We constantly rotate the role-play display in accordance with our learning themes, i.e., grocery store, dentist, vet surgery, etc.
